What We Can Learn from the Bishop in Les Miserables

I watched the movie (it was pretty bad), I saw the musical (it was great!) plus I watched the PBS TV show (also great) so I decided to try and tackle the book, Les Miserables. And believe me, I had no idea what I was getting to. 
WARNING: There are spoilers below this point. If you plan on reading the book Les Miserables, and never read it before, I recommend exiting this page! 
Although I am still trying to complete the book, I have long passed the part that includes the Bishop. He is dead now, aged 82, and was blind for the last few years of his life, but during his life, he did incredible acts of kindness. He is just a good guy, from head-to-toe, and took his wealth and shared it!
